Vinicius Jr Issues Regret to The Madrid Club Devotees

Vinicius Jr has netted 5 strikes in 10 domestic competition outings this season.

The Madrid giants attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his reaction when substituted in Sunday's fiery Clasico clash win.

Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd min and expressed his frustration by heading directly down the tunnel.

Vinicius later returned to the dugout and, after his side's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barça's youngster Yamal during unsavoury final whistle incidents.

"This day I want to express regret to all the supporters for my response when I was taken off in the big match," he shared on his account.

"In the same way as I have said in person during the latest session, I wish to express regret anew to my colleagues, the team, and the leadership.

"At times emotion overcomes me because I constantly desire to triumph and support my club. My winning mentality originates in the love I feel for this team and everything it represents."

The player moved to the Spanish capital from Brazil in 2018 for a significant fee and has notched triple figures in numerous matches.

But his future in the Madrid is uncertain with reports in recent months stating that the club would contemplate letting the 25-year-old leave if they got a good proposal.

When he was substituted on Sunday, cameras from network Dazn recorded him remarking: "Again me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I leave, I'm leaving."

In his latest message on social media, he stated: "I commit to keep battling constantly for the good of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
